Review: The X-Files: I Want to Believe (2008)

By vrtualme | July 25, 2008

Believe it or not, but even with an irrational fear of aliens, I’m still a big x-files fan. So there was no way I was missing the midnight premiere of The X-Files: I Want to Believe (2008) tonight. It’s been five years sense we said goodbye to them on the small screen. Now Fox Mulder and Dana Scully are finally back. Though sadly, when plastered across the big screen, every year shows. Not to say they didn’t look wonderful; the observation is more a reflection on my own feelings of growing old.But fear not, when I wear out this tired body I can replace it with a new one. That’s my little hint at this film’s plot line. I can’t say much more, other than x-file fans won’t be disappointed and remember to stay till the credits finish rolling. Starring are, of course, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. Added to the cast were Billy Connolly (Timeline 2003), Amanda Peet (Something’s Gotta Give 2003), Callum Keith Rennie (Leoben Conoy from “Battlestar Galactica”) quite convincing as a Russian nut job, and Xzibit who wasn’t quite as convincing in his role. Here’s the official website and the latest trailer…
