Preview: Watchmen (2009)

After 20 years of development Zack Snyder (300 2006) finally brings the watchmen graphic novels to the big screen. Previously directors such as Terry Gilliam (Brazil 1985) declared the material “unfilmable”. But I think Snyder’s got the right idea in stating that “in order to be true to the source when adapting a graphic novel to the screen, the original visual art should be respected as much as the written portion”. And who can forget the stunning visuals in 300? Viewers of The Dark Knight (2008) got their first sneak peek of this trailer on the big screen and were speechless.
