collected junk

I’m such a copycat, but my friend Jason is just a fountain of great blogging ideas. The other day he wrote a post about some of the things he collects, mostly focusing on his unusual record collection. Well, anyone who knows me knows I’m the queen of junk collecting. First off my movie collection is legendary. I just bought another 500gig drive. Also stored there is my 75+gigs of mp3’s (I had to edit it way down a while back), around 300 fonts and what use to be the largest collection of Bettie Page pics on the net (maybe I’ll post them again someday?).
Now, let me give you a peak at what use to be called my “craft room,” but has turned into my “crap room.” I can’t really step more than two feet into the room so the picture doesn’t do it justice. Some of the piles stack more than six feet tall.
Next is a peak at my record collection. About one third is comprised of David Bowie. Including these rare gems…
The rest is an odd mixture of 70’s and 80’s classics like…

But the one I know you’re all really jealous of is my unopened David Soul album…
I’ve also collected movie posters (duh), shoes, purses, brass candlestick holders (over 200), monopoly games, my hair every time I cut it, quotes, fabric and my favorite… signed books. I’ve gotten to meet some really great people when I lived in California.
Also featured in that picture is my newest collection… dead animal parts. My living room is starting to look like a hunting lodge, and I’m loving it. The fact that it’s so not pc makes it even better. The best piece is this picture made entirely from snake skin (again, the picture just doesn’t do it justice).
Anyway, I know I’ll think of a hundred more things to list after this is published, but I’ll end it here.

We have a lot in common save for David Soul. Just wasn’t exposed to him enough I guess. I have a crap-room about as bad as yours. Wish you would post your Bettie Page pics to alt. binairies.bettie-page. A lot of people would really appreciate it.
