poem: control in life

control in life
is just an illusion.
all that I’ve found
is a state of confusion.
the faster we run,
the slower we move.
running a race
with nothing to prove.
the money, the power
the sex, and the drugs.
a new set of jugs, and
a few more hair plugs.
taking and taking,
with nothing to give.
where does it end?
who will forgive?
