review: butterfly on a wheel (aka shattered 2007)
By vrtualme | October 17, 2007
The sexiest man alive, Gerard Butler, follows up 300 (2006) with the worst movie of his career Butterfly on a Wheel (aka Shattered 2007). It’s so bad that it skipped video and went straight to television. About kidnapping and a well executed plan to destroy a family, this film also stars Pierce Brosnan (the last James Bond). But the cast member I’d like to talk about is Maria Bello, who’s been popping up all over the place in the last few years.
This talented actress is so subtle that she often gets over looked, but her 2005 performance in A History of Violence finally got her some well deserved recognition. This time her performance, and the surprising plot twist at the end, are the only things that make this movie even remotely worth watching. Rather than this, I recommend you pick up another Bello film, like The Cooler (2003). Even the official website is pitiful.
