preview: good luck chuck (2007)

While we’re on the topic of date movies I thought I’d direct your attention to Good Luck Chuck (2007), due for wide release September 21. This feature film from first time director Mark Helfrich (best film editing satellite award winner for X-Men: The Last Stand 2006) 
stars Dane Cook (Mr. Brooks 2007) as every woman’s good luck charm. Apparently it’s believed that if you have sex with chuck the next man you meet will be your true love. So women who want to get married are standing in line to get their 15 minutes with him. The catch here is that chuck thinks he’s found the woman of his dreams, Jessica Alba (Fantastic Four 2005), and is worried that if he sleeps with her she’ll fall in love with someone else. The official website has all the standard goodies along with the ability to “send a kiss” to someone and a link to perfectmatch.com.
