review: no reservations (2007)
By vrtualme | August 8, 2007
The newest date movie to hit theaters this summer is No Reservations (2007). The English version of Bella Martha (2001), an Italian film about an obsessive compulsive control freak whose world gets turned upside down. This cute and surprisingly touching version from director Scott Hicks (Oscar nominee for Shine 1996) stars Catherine Zeta-Jones (Oscar winner for Chicago 2002), Aaron Eckhart (golden globe nominee for Thank You for Smoking 2005), Patricia Clarkson (Oscar nominee for Pieces of April 2003) and the ever so charming Abigail Breslin (Oscar nominee for Little Miss Sunshine 2006). And while it’s got its funny moments and has been categorized as a comedy, it seems more fitted as a drama to me. the official website offers recipes to some of the dishes prepared in the movie, so you can try them at home for the full 3d+ effect. Bon appétit.
