preview: slow burn (2005)

If, like myself, you were depressed about “Smith” being canceled last year, here’s another chance to see Ray Liotta (Goodfellas 1990) in Slow Burn (2005). This crime drama due for wide release this week also stars some of the hottest black actors in hollywood today, including LL Cool J (S.W.A.T. 2003), Mekhi Phifer (O 2001), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Children of Men 2006) and, my favorite, Taye Diggs (Equilibrium 2002). I will admit the attached trailer doesn’t do much for me, but the television commercial I saw today looks pretty good.
