I finally got my first official credit card in five years!!!
I know what it’s like to lose almost everything, and how quickly it can happen. I use to have wonderful credit, and lots of money to buy pretty much whatever I wanted. Then around 2000 my disability started affecting my work and from there on everything went to shit. When I couldn’t work I started paying my rent and other bills with my
credit cards; and at the same time didn’t have the money to pay the cards off. It added up quick and got out of control. It’s sad because I’m not one of those people who have a serious spending problem. It’s just that sometimes shit happens.
Anyway, I’m finally on the road to slowly restoring my credit. This card has a really low limit, but it’s an opportunity to show that I can be responsible and trusted. It also gives me a small safety net for emergencies. I can finally breathe a little easier again.
