CSI star celebrates a birthday
By vrtualme | February 21, 2007
Today we celebrate the birthday of William l. Peterson; better known by most as Gil Grissom on the hit TV show csi. Recently there was a bit of a scare that he would be leaving the show. Luckily that wasn’t true. He only took a little time to do a play, live stage being his first love; and now he’s back. The beard is also back and I hope he keeps it.
Besides television, Peterson has done some great work on the big screen too. Movies to check-out are To Live and Die in L.A. (1985), Fear (1996), Gunshy (1998) and Kiss the Sky (1999). And one of my favorites Manhunter (1986) aka Red Dragon: The Curse of Hannibal Lecter. This was the film that first introduced Hannibal to the movie going public; and brought William Peterson to my attention. I’ve been a fan of both ever sense. He has also played Kennedys in two made for TV movies; Joseph P. Kennedy in The Kennedys of Massachusetts (1990) and John F. Kennedy in The Rat Pack (1998). I really look forward to a long run of csi; and to seeing more of him in theaters too. Happy birthday Billy.
